Biography

At the age of four, she starred in an episode of Thierry la Fronde (Terry the Sling) alongside her father. She made her film début in 1982 with roles in Elle voit des nains partout! and La Boum 2. In 2001, she appeared in her first feature film, Se souvenir des belles choses (Beautiful Memories), alongside lead actors, Bernard Campan and Isabelle Carré.

For its new "Love the age you are" collection, Clarins asked Zabou to shoot these four video portraits: a natural choice given the kind of woman she is and the questions she likes to ask herself. She was able to put these very questions to four women with diverse personalities and origins. Zabou was also drawn by the ability of film to show the universal human element. Although they are essentially very similar, each story is told in a different way and experienced from a different viewpoint.

Because at Clarins, we believe beauty should be ethical and committed to the environment, only the leaves of the harungana are harvested. This way, the tree itself, along with its healing properties, are preserved. In the north of Madagascar, controlled harvesting is carried out within a fair trade framework, in partnership with the association, Jardins du monde, and local populations.
