Grindelia Grindelia robusta

Location: North America
Grindelia is native to South America. Its Latin name Grindelia robusta reflects its hardy nature. This plant is about 70 centimetres high and has big yellow-orange coloured flowers very similar to daisies. The most interesting properties are found in the resin that entirely covers the plant. It mainly contains diterpenic acids with a very powerful antibacterial action that has been proven effective against whooping cough. For the first time in cosmetology, Clarins Research uses this plant for its purifying properties.
